Mini-Grants

Helping Teachers Enrich the Classroom Experience

 

The THMS PTA has offered Tucson High teachers mini-grants of up to $150 for materials to enrich the classroom experience for the students for the past two years. We are looking forward to making this coming year the best one yet.

 

Funding for mini-grants comes primarily from proceeds of the Market on the Move (MOM) event hosted by the PTA every second Saturday at Tucson High from November through May.

 

Donations are welcome and encouraged to help fund future mini-grants. A $150 donation can fully fund a mini-grant but any amount is appreciated. Make your tax-deductible donation to support the Tucson High teachers.

 

Some of the materials teachers were able to purchase with mini-grant funds include:

• Tickets to Arizona Theatre Company production of "Fences"

• Drama class supplies 

• GATE Humanities project supplies

• Yoga movement cards

• Science documentary on Space

• Pottery books and magazines

• Orchestral music

• Math magazines

• Spanish readers
